Our Story Starts Here.

Hello there! 

I’m Emilie, the founder of Final Coat Painting and  Staining. A woman-owned painting company that  proudly serves homeowners in Toronto and the GTA  who value craftsmanship, honest work, and a job done  right the first time.

My journey into painting started long before this business, helping maintain my grandparents’ old  farm house in Port Perry. From wallpaper removal to plaster repairs, I got hands-on early and never stopped learning.

While studying to become a nurse, I started managing  my brother’s seasonal painting crews, and that “side job” quickly became a passion I couldn’t ignore. After working as an RN in surgical oncology, I realized my skillset and goals were better aligned with entrepreneurship than with shift work. That’s when Final Coat was born.

What started as one summer job has grown into a full-time, year-round business with a talented, tight-knit crew. Together, we transform interiors, exteriors, decks, and more. Always with a focus on prep, precision, and lasting quality.
